A screen shot is just what it sounds like...a 'shot' or 'picture' of whatever is on your computer screen.

For example...

Here are a few simple steps to help you in creating screen shots of your own.

First, make sure that the text or graphic that you're wanting to get a shot of is in full view on your screen.

Next, press the 'Alt' and 'Prt Scr' (Print Screen) buttons at the same time. This will, in essence, take a snapshot of the contents of your screen.

Then, open your graphcs program. (ie...Paint Shop Pro, PhotoShop, PhotoImpact, etc.) On the top toolbar, go to Edit and then Paste, and paste as a new image...or you can press 'Ctrl' and the letter 'V' at the same time. Now you should have a picture of your screen in your graphics program.

Now all you have to do is crop and resize the picture to your liking, and save it to your computer.
